PCB Balanced Antennas
Embedded balanced antennas were developed by HL Global to address several challenges prevalent during optimization and integration of antennas into Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). Integration of a balun in the antenna layout resulted in a compact design which features stable performance that is less dependent on the feeding cable routing as compared to the state-of-the-art solutions.
Using our technology, we developed a range of compact embedded, off-board, coax cable-fed, PCB antennas suitable for single, and dual-band WLAN applications (WiFi 4, 5, 6, 6E, 7). The advantages of balanced antennas for WLAN applications in CPE are significant. They are easier and faster to integrate, have a broader bandwidth, and offer more predictable and stable performance.
Balanced antennas also provide superior noise rejection and enhance isolation between antennas. Peak realized gain is lower and better controlled, resulting in better overall performance. In summary, embedded balanced antennas are an excellent solution for companies seeking high-performing and reliable WLAN antenna solutions.
